Dogs at this bed and breakfast may be with their human
companions in the family room and their owner’s bedroom. They must be
confined to bedroom or the yard when owner is absent.
There are two fenced
areas for dogs, one near the pool, and one in the patio area separated
from pool by 6 foot fence. Try to monitor their pooping and scoop,
please. Cats should be confined to their owner’s bedroom. Plastic bags
near my cat’s litter box in the laundry room.
There’s a
wonderful walking path leading to a wash (dry riverbed) at the end of
the street and more paths on the other side of it. There are horses,
coyotes, rabbits, occasional rattlesnakes, and other dogs to be
encountered, so dogs are “off leash” at your own risk.
Dog Park
If your dog doesn’t
attack and isn’t fearful of other dogs, the safest unleashed romp is at
the fenced dog playground at nearby McDonald’s Park. There’s a separate
enclosure for small, old, or timid dogs. Turn right on Houghton. Then
left on Catalina Highway. Then turn right on Harrison and watch for
signs.
Udall Park
For sociable leashed walks, head for Udall Park, at Tanque Verde and
Sabino Canyon after dark. There you will meet a friendly group of dog
walkers and dogs circling the paved trail and dodging joggers and
rollerbladers around the ball fields.
