Speedway  (at Wilmot)(incredible breads, pastries, sandwiches, and salads:  free samples of different breads and butter while you wait; (Brad’s Beef: roast beef and melted cheese sandwich with roasted sweet pepper and Russian dressing on grilled homemade white bread is to die for!) Another location at 3055 N. Campbell. 

Casa Molina. 6225 E. Speedway. Good Mexican food. Has sales gallery for world famous Mata Ortiz pottery.

China-Thai  (For when you can’t make up your mind!) 6502 E. Tanque Verde.  Near and good.

Dakota Cafe.  Located at 6541 E. Tanque Verde in Traildust Town, a nearby western-themed shopping area, this restaurant welcomes leashed dogs on their patio with water bowls and biscuits!

El Charro (traditional Mexican) at 311 N. Court in downtown historic district.   

El Parador on Broadway is also great for Mexican food.  2744 E. Broadway. 

El Paso Barbeque Company.  5510 E. Broadway . Great barbecue and desserts., e.g., apple & glazed walnut cobbler with Haagen Dazs ice cream.

Feig’s Kosher Deli. N.Y. style sandwiches and traditional Jewish specialties like stuffed cabbage rolls, potato pancakes, kishke, chicken soup, knishes.  5071 E. 5th St.

French Quarter. 3146 E. Grant. Authentic New Orleans atmosphere and cajun food, live music.

Gavi (Italian) at 7865 E. Broadway;  Authentic family style dining.

Ghini’s (French cafe and bakery) at Prince and Campbell (in shopping center next to Safeway);

Karuna’s (Thai) at 1911 E. Grant (nice lunch buffet with vegetarian selections);

LeBistro, 2574 N. Campbell.  Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, fabulous desserts.

Mimi’s Cafe, on Wilmot just south of Broadway (good food and atmosphere, huge portions and tiny prices Good bet for families and folks on a budget.

Olive Tree Greek Restaurant: 7000 E. Tanque Verde road (SW corner of Tanque and Sabino Canyon).

Pinnacle Peak.  Also in Traildust Town, at 6541 E. Tanque Verde, this restaurant is known for its steaks and western side dishes.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill. 5100 E. Broadway. Excellent Italian food.

Rose Garden (prize-winning Chinese with Mongolian barbecue no fat stir fry buffet and magic show some evenings, 1800 E. Ft. Lowell) Menus for most of these and more on the coffee table in the livingroom.  Always call to verify hours.
